If you love oatmeal, you’re going to love these cookies. Like the name implies, there’s no wheat involved, so these guys are GLUTEN-FREE. We use organic Ontario oats, grinding some into flour and rolling some into fresh oat flakes—with just enough organic sugar—so it’s all tasty fresh oat goodness.
Now of course it’s a bit of a stretch to call any cookie “health food” but with all those fresh-ground whole oats, moderate organic sugars and natural ingredients from your own kitchen, this is as healthy as it gets in cookieland.
It's a super-versatile base, we mix in all kinds of nuts, seeds, dried fruit and dark chocolate. See our Recipes & Quick Variations for ideas or invent your own. NUT- and PEANUT-FREE, GLUTEN-FREE too (keep in mind it may contain minute traces of wheat even though we use a dedicated mill for oats only). The 500g size makes 24 cookies, the 1kg bag makes 48 cookies.
